This patch updates Lode Runner: The Legend Returns (the floppy version) to add a few features and fix several small bugs.
This patch will not work with the CD-ROM version of Lode Runner: The Legend Returns. The CD-ROM version already contains the enhancements.
Lode Runner files updated with this patch are updated in place - in other words, it modifies your existing files without making a safety copy. Back up the Lode Runner files before applying the patch to be safe. Also, the patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running. Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.
Changes include:
• High Score List.
• Faster Game Play (on older or slower Macintoshes).
• Eye Dropper Tool shortcut in Game Generator. Hold down the shift key to temporarily change the tool to the eye dropper.
• Double-clicking saved games in the Finder will properly start the saved game.
• If no exit is included in a level, you can exit just by moving to any position along the top row. This is how the original Lode Runner worked, and makes it easier to use original Lode Runner levels.
• Several minor bug fixes.
